June is a global month for the fight for LGBTIQ rights. All over the world, people take to the streets during Pride Month and draw attention to injustices & discrimination against people on the basis of their sexuality or gender identity.
Queer people are still victims of systematic exclusion and oppression today. Therefore, they are also disproportionately affected by the impacts of the climate crisis. Fighting for a climate-just world also means standing up against all discrimination. That is why Fridays For Future is taking to the streets together with Vienna Pride on 10 June to demand equal rights and climate justice!
The meeting point is at 7.15 pm at Mexico Square (“Mexicoplatz”). From there, the colourful demo marches to the Prater Hauptallee. #SpreadLoveNotCO2
The demonstration ends in the Prater tent. Final rally and joint celebration directly after the Pride Run Vienna winners’ ceremony.
The Prater Hauptallee is already in Pride fever throughout the afternoon. Preparations for the Pride Run Vienna will start at 3 p.m. and starter bags can still be picked up in the Prater tent.
