The Bezirksmuseum Neubau is currently hosting the exhibition “Homo Neubau”, which deals with events in the 7th district of Vienna from 1938 to 1945. The focus is on people. With photos, texts and objects, this exhibition reminds the fates of people who were persecuted for their homosexuality during the Nazi era. It deals with the Volkstheater, cinemas, everyday life, school and childhood.
The museum is open every Saturday (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and Wednesday (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.). Admission is always free, but the Bezirksmuseum Neubau asks for donations.
